This song, created during lockdown due to the pandemic, was written to take us all island hopping to far away places--a chance to go on vacation and escape even if just for a few minutes. I tapped into a specific memory while traveling by ferry in Thailand to pull the emotion behind the song--that memory is full of hope and pure, carefree, joyful abandon. Strange that in a time fraught with worry and fear I happen to write such an upbeat tune— just putting a little something out into the world we all could use right now...a happy escape.
